SJ Video Player is a lightweight flash video player with playlist , fully customizable and easy to setup. Supports .flv and .mp4 video formats. You can have your playlist in the right or at the bottom of your player, choose your playlist colors,width,height, multiple player skins and many other features. Our player have the option to generate XML playlists for videos with minimum effort and zero xml knowledge, add thumbnails and descriptions, upload videos, upload and resize thumbnails, all theese at your fingertips in the backend.
1. Log in to the Joomla administration back-end.
2. Select Extensions --> Install/Uninstall from the top menu.
3. In the panel Upload package file, click Browse and locate the installation package you have downloaded to your local computer.
4. Click the button Upload & Install.
5. Select Extensions --> Module Manager from the top menu and click SJ Video Player in the list.
6. Open the module and follow setup.
I. Upload videos, thumbnails and create the playlist
There is 2 separate ways of doing this:
1. Use internal tool build specially to create folders, upload videos, upload and rezise thumbnails and generate playlist

2. Using your FTP user and password, login on your server.
Navigate to modules/mod_sj_video_player/videos.
Create a folder for videos here (aka. myvideos), and another one for thumbnails (aka. mythumbs).
Upload the video files in .flv or .mp4 file format in "myvideos" folder, and thumbnails into "mythumbs" folder.
Navigate to modules/mod_sj_video_player/playlists and create the xml playlist. Examples can be found there.
II. Setup module
1. Setup the playlist colors
Background color
Mouse over color
Item Selected color
Composition color
Text color
2. Setup the playlist position and size
Position the playlist starting from left for the Horizontal positoning and from Top for the Vertical positioning in pixels. As example the values from the images bellow will position the playlist at 5 pixels distance from the left margin and at 226 pixels distance from the top.
Playlist Width and Playlist Height are the sizes for the whole playlist.
Next will set the elements inside the playlist:
Playlist item Width and Playlist item Height will set how wide and how tall the items will be and the Playlist text width is the space rezerved for text (title,description etc). All the sizes are in pixels.


3. Player settings
Stage color - Set the color for the whole stage. The stage is the workspace for the player. This color will be ignored if Wmode is set to "Transparent".
Playbar Skin Color - The color for the bar that hold the controls (start, stop, etc)
Playbar Skin Autohide - The skin can be set to show up only at mouse over if this option is enabled or always if it's disabled.
Playbar skin - 44 different styles are available for the skin. Choose the one that you like.
Player Width and Player Height - theese options will set the size of the movie area. Any size can be written here but the movie aspect ratio will be preserved.
Stage Width - The with of the stage mentioned above.
Stage Height - The height of the stage mentioned above.
Autoplay - The player can start at page load if this option is Enabled.
Wmode - We can use the stage color if this is set to "Window" or we can make it "Transparent".
4. Select the playlist
Select the playlist from the dropdown. If you did not made one use the Playlist Setup option or read pt.I above.
5. Publish
In the left hand size give your module a Title , select the Position you want to publish check the Status to be Published and Module Assignement to be On all pages or if you want specific pages select them from the list.
6. Save and exit

Yes, our SJ Video Player can be used on multiple pages with different playlist for each instance
Our player play's only flv and mp4 files . And it does not support live streaming.
